I
grew up on a cattle and grain farm near Macrorie, Saskatchewan.
When I was 12, my father retired and we moved into Outlook,
which is 100 kilometres south of Saskatoon. I enjoy playing
sports on a recreational level. This summer I played on
the Wilde & Company slow pitch team, which helped
me get to know the other students at Wilde & Company
better, as well as other young people from Vegreville
and surrounding communities. I enjoy living in Vegreville
- it’s a really nice community with pretty much
everything you need right here. Being from a farming and
small town background, I feel very comfortable living
in Vegreville.
I
graduated from Outlook High School in 1997. Upon graduation,
I moved to Saskatoon and worked various jobs, such as waitressing
and as a telephone operator. I enrolled in Commerce at the
University of Saskatchewan in the fall of 2000 and received
my B.Comm this past May. I began articling with Wilde &
Company in May and began Module 1 of CASB at the end of September.
Still
being new to the professional accounting field; I have yet
to specialize in any area. I am interested in all areas
of accounting, especially taxation, and am enjoying applying
what I learned in University in a professional setting.
